We’ve had a fun week of learning about Ben Franklin and his inventions, learning new vocabulary, using illustrations to give key details in a story, and writing personal narrative stories with a purpose.
Our Own Inventions
We’ve talked about a lot of different inventions this week and now it’s time for us to create our own inventions. We’ll be doing this on Monday (9/24) in class. Please talk to your child about what invention that could create in the classroom using supplies like q-tips, cotton balls, pipe cleaners, Googly eyes, Popsicle sticks, buttons, foil, and paper that would help them solve a problem in their community/world! **They can bring extra supplies from home that they may need.
Have you filled someone’s bucket this week? This is a question that we talked about this week and how to fill buckets every day. When we fill someone else’s bucket, our own bucket gets filled as well. It’s a double win of kindness!
