We’ve had lots of fun this week talking about worms both real and fictional like in our story - Diary of Worm!
We also learned about the different points of view (1st and 3rd person) and how to tell the difference in who is telling a story. We continued our discussions of story elements (B, M, E, character, & setting)
We were food critics this week testing out our dirt snacks filled with worms! We had lots of fun and tried new things!
**Be on the lookout for Seesaw posts about the Landforms we've been learning about this week!**
We are continuing to work on our routines and following the classroom & school wide expectations of:
•Being 100% Accountable
Next week we will be reviewing the 3 stories we’ve read so far and continue to work on our story mapping skills.
Here are some dates to remember & other news…
Save the Date:
Weekly Literacy Tip: Continue to read to your child and with your child! It will help especially talking about what you’re reading about and who is telling the story. This will help with what we’re doing in class.
Star of the Week: This upcoming week’s star is B.W!! He has been working hard since school began. He loves to laugh and help his friends anytime they need help. Way to go B.W. for being our star of the week!!
Have a Super Extended Labor Day Weekend!
